The Lünersee, an old mountain lake transformed into a reservoir by a dam, is one of the largest lakes in the Austrian province of Vorarlberg. It is located in the municipality of Vandans. Its pumped-storage power plant, the Lünerseewerk, with an initial capacity of 225 MW, was for a long time the most powerful pumped-storage power plant in the world.
