Sagastad is a modern knowledge and experience center in Nordfjordeid, Norway, dedicated entirely to the Viking King Audbjørn and the legendary Myklebust ship. The centerpiece is the impressive replica of one of the largest Viking ships ever discovered, the Myklebust ship, reconstructed to its original size (over 30 meters long!). The exhibition combines archaeology, history, and modern technology: multimedia stations, original finds, and digital animations bring the Viking Age to life. Visitors can not only climb aboard the ship, but also learn a great deal about the life, burial culture, and power structures of the Vikings. A place that brings history to life – exciting, vivid, and captivating for all ages.
