The Vecht, sometimes also referred to as Utrechtse Vecht or Stichtse Vecht to distinguish it from the Overijsselse Vecht, is a Dutch river that runs through the provinces of Utrecht and North Holland. The Vecht starts at the Weerdsluis in the city of Utrecht and flows into the IJmeer about 42 kilometers further at Muiden.
