Pershyttan is a small mining town about 3 kilometers south-southwest of Nora. The village has been restored and serves mainly as a museum about Bergslagen's mining and ironworking, which began in the early 14th century.

Rather flat, but quite technical, a really enjoyable trail leads along a narrow canal here.

Here everything revolved around iron production: until 1953, pig iron was still produced here. When the hut was closed, time stood still here. Everything looks exactly like it did back then. Even the huge water wheel still works and you can see Sweden's best preserved charcoal blast furnace here. By the way, there are great mountain bike trails around it!
