Awesome scenery. Just visit.

Adjacent to the car parks, the waters below the bridge are useful for cooling one's feet on a hot day.

More importantly, there's a good gravel track past here.

The visitor centre is quite informative about the local flora and fauna. Car parking spaces have increased greatly with the opening of the parking area nearer the visitor centre. In May 2024, the parking fee was £5 per day payable using various methods at a machine including contactless.

Cross the marshes either here using this excellent gravel vehicle track or via a rougher path, with a wooden footbridge and steps, across the loch's northern edge.
