ミセノ湖での周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

アヴェルノ湖は、プッツォーリ近郊にある火山性の湖です。神話によれば、古代に発生していた硫黄の噴気のため、冥界への入り口とされています。この湖は、アエネイスの中で、シビュラに導かれたアエネアスが、死者の国に到達するために訪れます。歴史的には、アウグストゥス時代に、近くのルクリン湖と共に、いわゆるポルトゥス・ユリウス（湖が内水面を形成していた軍港）の本拠地となりました。後に、入り口の砂堆が容易に堆積するため放棄され、プッツォーリの商業港の停泊地複合施設であるリパ・プテオラーナに組み込まれました。その岸辺には、いわゆる「アポロ神殿」が建っていますが、実際には、天然の熱源を利用するためにフリグレエ平野に建てられた数多くの施設の一つである、広大な温泉複合施設の一部です。

𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗮 In Procida, if you go up to the walled ground, under the passage that leads to Palazzo d'Avalos you will see some black crosses. The crosses have been embedded in a whitewashed wall so they stand out even more and are there to remember an event that occurred in 1849. We are in the midst of the anti-Bourbon riots when some political prisoners are taken from the prison installed in Palazzo d'Avalos and are massacred. The crosses are there precisely to remember their death.

Everyone will wonder why it is called the “Birds’ Path”? The name is due to a rich and documented presence of different species of bird fauna, protected by the Campi Flegrei Regional Park Authority and the municipal administration of Bacoli. And then because there is a large presence of seagulls that nest and that after having fluttered over the sea, hunting for fish, return to their nests. A particular characteristic of this path is, also, the sudden transition from a Mediterranean vegetative area to a more wooded area. These are the types of plants that can be encountered: bougainvillea, broom, downy oaks, wild olive trees, holm oaks, mastic trees, euphorbia, oregano, Venus’ navel, wild leek, butcher’s broom, sarsaparilla, wallflower and asphodel.
