The Union Pacific Railroad Trail is a multiuse trail that runs alongside active railroad tracks. The path is fully paved and passes through several parks.

This portion of downtown Henderson was renamed after the street it runs along in an effort to revitalize the area and make it more bike and pedestrian-friendly. Water Street was called that way due to the pipeline that runs underneath it since its creation back in 1941.

This trailhead leads to the northern end of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. It is an easy access point for the McCullough Hills Trail and has parking available at the trailhead.

The McCullough Hills Trail runs between the trailhead at East Mission Drive in Henderson and the trailhead on McCullough Hills Parkway in Anthem. The trail offers stunning desert vistas with gradual elevation gain. It is well-marked and leads through desert terrain, showcasing native flora and fauna and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley and the surrounding mountains. You can loop around any of the connecting trails close to the trailheads for a loop hike, or hike the whole trail for a varied and challenging endurance hike.

Just down from the Water District and sitting on 2.5 acres Gordon McCaw Park is perfect for a walk or break in shade or picnic. The park also offers an recreation center with swimming pool.

Water Street Plaza is the center of the Water District. It has a calendar full of festivals, concerts and sports viewing parties, as well as a playground and splash pad for the kids.
