This section, known as Bryggstien or the Bridge Trail, literally runs over the rocks. Since it was impossible to create a safe path this close to the water, a wooden walkway on stilts was built. The view along the entire route is superb.

Glengsholen looks like a large lake, but it’s actually an inlet of the Glomma Fjord. From the shore, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view and spacious lawns where you can picnic, play, or relax. This is also where the ferry arrives.

Viktjernhøgda is the highest point in the Indre Østfold municipality, offering a quintessential highland experience. The summit area is characterized by a mix of dense forest and open rocky ground, providing a sense of elevation and seclusion.

This tranquil highland lake is tucked away within a rugged landscape of weathered rock and hardy alpine vegetation. Its calm, clear waters reflect the surrounding ridges, providing a serene destination for hikers seeking a quiet retreat into nature. It is a perfect spot to pause and appreciate the still beauty of the upland terrain before continuing along the mountain path.

The cannons were located at this memorial site. Today, those anti-aircraft cannon posts have been removed, but you can still clearly see where they were positioned thanks to these stone circles.
