A super nice rest area and a great photo opportunity

Unfortunately, the inscriptions are no longer recognizable. But in any case, I still recognized the reference to Gutendorf. It would be nice if this signpost would be restored. Because old signposts show the course of old roads and connections, especially in the immediate vicinity, and are therefore of regional importance. In any case, they enrich our homeland as historical witnesses, mostly from the 19th century.

Lindenplatz

At the site of the current Gutendorf quarry, stone outcrops existed between 1870 and 1940. The very shallow quarries were later used sporadically for the extraction of agricultural and forest road construction material until around the early 1970s.

It was originally a Romanesque choir tower church from the 13th century. Remnants of round arches on doors and windows are present next to the altar table. The Gothic sacrament table and baroque alterations in the late 17th and early 18th centuries indicate the transition periods (Wikipedia).
