The Salzbühl hiking car park is a great starting point, especially for nature lovers who want to explore the idyllic Lone Valley. Beautiful hiking trails start here, lined with lush forests, mossy landscapes, and, depending on the season, fairytale snowdrops. With its proximity to highlights such as the Stone Age cave "Fohlenhaus," this parking lot offers convenient access to both nature and history.

Small but fine dirt trak for all age groups

Old and impressive linden tree. Stand directly underneath it and look up.

A little detour on foot, why not? You decide for yourself whether it's worth it, I did it and didn't regret it.

These big birds are very impressive! Be careful, they are very curious and if you walk too close to the fence they will grab anything that isn't nailed down. It is recommended not to wear a hat etc. 😊 There is also a great little self-service shop. Here you can find everything from ostriches, meat, eggs, feathers, ostrich dusters. Everything is very well done. I bought some fillet and it was fantastic. I also bought feathers as a souvenir. It is worth a visit!

An incredibly large trunk!

Extensive facility for breeding ostriches is well worth seeing. They're huge beasts! The Hoflädle is great: in the hut you can find all kinds of ostrich including eggs, sausage, meat - even ready-made dishes. Even card payments are easy.
