A baroque palace built in the 18th century and now serving as a museum. Surrounded by a large park, the palace houses, among other things, a carriage museum, a palm house, and a hunting exhibition. It was the residence of the Hungarian noble Festetics family for over 200 years. Today, it is known as the Helikon Palace Museum and houses an extensive library and various exhibitions.

In 1433, a house surrounded by a wall was first mentioned on the site of today's Festetics Castle. The fenced manor house also had a garden. Construction of the Baroque-style castle began in 1745 on the site of the castle ruins of the former Pethé estate. According to the plans of Kristof Hofstädter, the major transformation began in 1769-1770. The façade remained unchanged, but the wings were extended to their present length. The large library was built for the castle between 1799 and 1801. György Festetics Castle eventually became one of the most beautiful buildings of its time. The next major reconstruction had to wait several decades – between 1883 and 1887.
