The hike is worth it just for the view of Lake Chiemsee and Herreninsel. Simply fantastic.

This 17-ton stone was transported thousands of years ago during the Ice Age by the Inn Glacier from the Central Alps to Greimharting near Rimsting. Because this rock is a true granite, which does not occur naturally in the Chiemgau region, such a stone is called a "findling" or "erratic block," which means "stone that came here by mistake." The significantly darker spots are interesting. These consist of a completely different rock with many dark mica particles. These dark remnants on the stone are called "restite."

Located in the beautiful Chiemgau region, there stands an imposing mammoth. The mammoth is the symbol of the hiking tour to the Ratzinger Höhe. With sharp tusks and an extremely long trunk, it is fortunately not made of flesh and blood, but of driftwood. It stands in the so-called Ur-Priental valley, where remains of these animals were found. It is also the symbol of the hiking tour to the Ratzinger Höhe (694 m).
