A very beautiful river that rises in the Glottertal and then flows along here. Very beautiful, especially for the people in the Rhine plains to cool off.

Vörstetten experienced a heyday in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Numerous well-preserved half-timbered houses from this period still bear witness to this. Archaeological findings show that today's Vörstetten district was settled as early as 7,000 years ago. The first documented mention as Verstat comes from the year 993. Between 1111 and 1179 there is evidence of the local noblemen of Vörstetten, who were ministerials of the Zähringer family. The Lords of Schwarzenberg and the Lords of Falkenstein also owned property in the town. The street is lined with many interesting half-timbered houses. Unfortunately there is no bike path on this main road and yet there is quite a lot of car traffic, at least slowed down by the 30 km/h zone.
