Unfortunately, the road surface is now very poor. Especially coming from Oberems, it's quite bumpy, and you have to drive more or less in the middle of the road. Otherwise, it's a very pretty valley!

A beautiful, quiet section between Niederrod and Oberrod with good asphalt and a beautiful view. If you don't mind a small detour, this is definitely a great alternative to the Heftrich -> Kröftel -> Ober Ems route.
