The 23-hectare protected forest serves to preserve and develop a groundwater-influenced pedunculate oak-hornbeam forest with holly, as well as stands of alder and ash, while simultaneously safeguarding the water balance and habitats of endangered plant species. As a particularly valuable remnant of such a mixed deciduous forest in the sparsely wooded Prignitz region, it is being scientifically monitored long-term and without direct human intervention to study forest development, soil, flora, fauna, and natural self-organization processes. At the same time, the area functions as a forestry demonstration plot, conserves forest genetic resources, and contributes to the long-term preservation of biodiversity in self-regulating communities.

The idea for this hotel came from enthusiasts who wanted to create a special atmosphere to offer friends and fans of the locomotive a new destination for a special vacation. The hotel offers cozy rooms and a lovingly decorated restaurant that warmly welcomes visitors.

The Meyenburg Water Tower in the Prignitz region is a listed building. It is located near Meyenburg train station and is part of the historic infrastructure of the Neustadt–Meyenburg railway line.

Meyenburg station is located on the Neustadt-Pritzwalk-Meyenburg railway line and was built in 1887/88.

The villa served as town hall since 1929.

Part of the wall and towers have already been incorporated into the castle complex. Three sections of the former city wall, which enclosed approximately three-quarters of Meyenburg, still exist. The longest section, approximately 65 meters long, was repaired in 1996/97, while a second section was renovated in 2002/03. The third section of the wall is located directly behind the east wing of the castle and is a round wall tower, the so-called "Hungerturm," which was aligned with the city wall.
