Information station in the Haardt Forest with map and profile: It explains the quartz rocks ("White Rocks"), their formation, and where you can find them along the Dream Loop trail – including Langer Wacken, Berger Wacken, and Frosch-Felsen. Tip: Take a photo of the map and plan your hike using the marked trailheads to the rocks. The root-covered paths are slippery when wet – wear sturdy shoes!

A section of a dismantled wind turbine tower lies at the edge of the scenic loop trail. The flanges and bolts are clearly visible; in the background, the new rotors are turning – a rare close-up view of wind power technology. Tip: Please respect restricted areas and keep your distance. A wide-angle lens is recommended for this perspective; be aware of slippery grass and uneven terrain.

One of the 12 interactive stations on wind, water, and climate vividly explains how solar radiation and air pressure differences drive the wind – right here in the area of the wind farm along the Hunsrück Wind Trail. Tip: Take your time to read the information panels and pack a windproof layer – at the starting point, you're literally standing "under the wind turbine."

A little tip: Sections 6-7 from Heidenburg to the Drohntalsperre are very densely overgrown (nettles, thorns, etc.). This path is not passable.

The ladder is open, and we had a lot of fun. We recommend hiking the route clockwise, which will take you through the starting gate right after the fishing hut.
