ゾントラでの周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

Built in the second half of the 14th century, the church tower—whose thick walls with loopholes suggest its fortified origins—dominates the silhouette of Ulfen. The interior paintings are reminiscent of the rural Baroque churches in the region.

To this day, members of the von Boyneburg-Stedtfeld family live below the castle ruins on the Boyneburgk estate, in the so-called new castle. The manor house is surrounded by extensive parkland (privately owned), and farm buildings and former stewards' houses are located in the immediate vicinity.

The Boyneburg estate was first mentioned in documents in 1460. The Boyneburg estate farm offers interesting views and photo opportunities. From here or via the Boyneburg estate there are many interesting hiking tours (to the Boyneburg castle ruins, towards Datterode, etc.) that can be combined with this highlight.

The Leibborn spring is located on the ascent path from the hiking car park (Am Sportplatz) Ulfen up to Ottilienberg. In spring and after heavy rainfall it even bubbles. Legend has it that the Ulfen babies are deposited here by the stork.

If you hike from Ulfen up to Ottilienberg, you will reach this idyllic, albeit old, rest area after a hairpin bend. From here you have a wonderful view over Ulfen and the Ulfetal, across to the Struth.

The ruins can be hiked from different directions and with different levels of difficulty. It is part of the P13 and from the Boyneburg hiking car park (Grandenborn)
