Very nice pictures of buildings in and around Albernau, such as the Reschenhaus, a restaurant on the Floßgraben, the Schindlerswerk and the Freigut Albernau.

Stop at the Reschenhaus with Czech beer and food

Whether by bike or on foot, young or old, the Floßgraben is easy to navigate and offers many highlights along the way. A very entertaining tour that's definitely worth it. The Floßgraben was built between 1556 and 1559 as the Schneeberger Graben (Schneeberg Ditch) to supply the Schneeberg-Neustädtel mining district with timber and firewood. From the Rechenhaus (record house) near Bockau to Bad Schlema, it is 15.3 km long and has a drop of 70 meters. The natural terrain was utilized during its construction, with a wooden channel built in only one place.
