キルハイプでの周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

The Broichhausen Motte is a natural monument zone. This was the site of a medieval castle south of Kircheib. The former tower hill castle was still inhabited until 1500. It consisted of a tower and was surrounded by two protective walls and a moat. The moat was fed by the Freiheitsbach/Griesenbach. Today, only the castle hill and the ramparts with moat can be seen here.

Unfortunately, the cycle path to Eitorf ends on the busy country road, but you can cross the road and come to this path via a somewhat adventurous-looking section. It is a field path, but it is easy to manage with a normal bike and is safer than the road. From Obereip, the cycle path continues down along the country road.

Looking back to Kircheib

A stop at the Bierhäusel is always worth it. Everything delicious and fresh. Nice service.

Lake Wolfgangsee lies in the middle of the forest. It shimmered red in places, and when we stood right by the lake we saw tons of small red goldfish.
