We stopped here for lunch on our Camino de Santiago walk. The service was very friendly, and we enjoyed a delicious meal. We were also able to order the green spelt patties as a smaller portion, and the Becksteiner espresso perfectly complemented the meal.

With the Bible verse "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23), it invites you to quiet contemplation. Protected under a small roof, it stands by the side of the road—a place of contemplation that offers hikers spiritual peace and a moment of reflection.

From the Taubertal panoramic trail there is a beautiful view of Lauda-Königshofen, nestled in the gentle hills of the Tauber valley and surrounded by vineyards 🍇 and fields 🌾.

It was built in 1494 and originally served as a watchtower outside the city. At that time, it was surrounded only by a rampart and palisades, which were later replaced by walls around 1630 and 1730.
