As you can see from the date of my first comment, I wrote it two years ago. The year 2023 wasn't as rainy as 2025. In fact, I drove through a whole section of Este starting from the geographically indicated source. This was the first time I saw water. Before that, it was mostly dry ditches. Things may be different this year. The title: Source the First is obviously misleading. It showed me that it was an automatic translation. I don't remember what I originally stated. This is neither the source of the Este, nor is it the first time you've seen it. It's just a small road bridge over the Este.

Bench with a wonderful view over the Weller Feldmark.

An old, restored fire station in Welle. Right next to it is a bench for a break and bike racks for locking up bikes before starting a hike.

A small snack or a drink in between, here you can refuel.

Both a bench and benches with a table invite you to linger. Unless the corn is blocking your view, you're sure to enjoy a good view. You can lock your bike to the bike racks and take a walk.
