Beautiful old fountain room

A fountain that once supplied the Homburg ruins with water. It still provides good drinking water for refilling your bottle or bladder today. (When it actually has water.) ;-)

There are many plants to discover here, a lovely excursion around the castle ruins.

The Hammelburg military training area is a training area that was created in 1895 as a shooting range for the Bavarian Army, with the Hammelburg camp as troop accommodation. The approximately 4,000 hectare site with the Bonnland training village and the barracks in the Hammelburg district is currently used by the Bundeswehr Infantry School and the "VN Training Center" (VNAusbZBw), among others.
