Since 1968, the railway line between Bremervörde and Buchholz (Nordheide) has been largely closed, and the railway embankment is often barely recognizable. However, four impressive brick viaducts in the Hollenstedt area remain as a reminder. They were built along with the line between 1899 and 1902 to allow the railway to cross the deep stream valleys.
