From the bridge over the Schwentine river, there is a magnificent view along the Schwentine to the hydroelectric power plant.

The hiking parking lot is located near the white bridge at Rosensee... a perfect starting point for a beautiful hike around the lake.

Running on the hard surface isn't quite so pleasant, but the old, ivy-covered trees are very beautiful.

The hiking trail here mostly runs directly along the Schwentine river... There are wonderful views of it time and again... numerous benches invite you to linger.

The Schwentine River is dammed here to form Lake Rosenfeld... it's almost completely surrounded by lovely woods... every now and then you get a nice view of the lake through a gap in the trees... you can also occasionally see anglers... It's especially beautiful here in autumn.
