It's beautiful here in every season. The correct name is Promenade am Seegarten, and it's located on Lake Zeuthen, a widening of the Dahme River.

The village church was built in 1789/1799 on the foundations of a half-timbered church dating from 1734/35. The small and modest church was built in the neoclassical style.

The road connecting the estate to the lake was formerly called Seestraße. It was only after 1908 that it was renamed Friedenstraße. This gave the oak tree, which stands on an island in the middle of this busy road, the name "Peace Oak." From a purely biological perspective, the Peace Oak is a pedunculate oak, also known as the German oak or common oak. The last detailed measurement showed a trunk circumference of 5.20 m at a height of 1.30 m. The crown diameter is 18 m and the height is approximately 27 m. The Peace Oak is considered the last representative of the oak population that was widespread here before the founding of the municipality of Eichwalde in 1893. Kayakomat is a concept that has already proven successful in Scandinavia, allowing paddlers to easily rent kayaks or SUPs. Using an online booking system on the website www.kayakomat.com, you can easily and seamlessly reserve a kayak or SUP 24/7. Pickup then takes place at a vending machine. Life jackets and paddles are, of course, included with every rental. The Swedish "Kayakomat" has also been available in Eichwalde since the beginning of May 2023.

The castle was originally called "Hilde's Home" after the wife of the merchant and entrepreneur Robert Bischof, but was renamed in reference to the Heidelberg castle ruins. In the 1950s, the castle was converted into a residential building, which unfortunately completely lost its ruinous character.

Nice path, not too long, easy to go with small kids. There are some really nice nature views there.
