The Marienkirche in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg presents itself with cinematic facades of original origin. With its magnificent medieval exterior, it is considered one of the most beautiful choir complexes in Austria. It was built as early as 1050 - in a Romanesque, three-aisled pillar construction with an early Gothic chancel and west tower. The church is under monument protection and represents an important monument of medieval architecture in Austria.

The Carnuntinum Museum is part and, as a so-called treasury, also the heart of the former Roman town of Carnuntum. It deals with the history and everyday life of the ancient legionary camp and the ancient civilian town of Carnuntum, and its exhibition mainly presents finds from the excavations on these sites. With over 2 million finds in the depot, it is the largest Roman museum in Austria.
