The Kremser Gate in Stein (formerly an independent town) is a Gothic building that was built around 1400 and was part of the town's fortifications.

The Krems Gate is a Gothic structure dating from around 1400 and was part of the city's fortifications. It consists of a tower approximately 20 meters high with a gateway, an 8-meter-high porch (facing east), and an adjacent building with a staircase, which serves as a meeting room for the Wachau Traditional Costume and Heritage Association. Nice place on the Danube

Nikolaihof Wachau is Austria's oldest winery, with a history spanning almost 2,000 years. Its current appearance is built on the foundations of a Roman fort, and the old Roman cellars are still used as wine cellars today. For centuries, Nikolaihof served as a bishop's seat and monastery until it was acquired by the Saahs family in 1894.

A beautiful old town through which many long-distance hiking trails pass.

A beautiful gateway towards Krems, several hiking trails pass through here, for example the Großer Tullnerfelder Rundwanderweg 475/675, the Welterbesteig, the Waldviertel Weitwanderweg 606 starts here and last but not least, the Mariazellerweg 06 also comes along.
