聖ギルゲン教区教会は1856年からローマカトリックです。守護聖人の祝日は9月1日、聖エギディウスの記念日であるエギディウスの日に祝われます。

St. Wolfgang am Wolfgangsee, a picturesque town in the Salzkammergut region, lies directly on the northern shore of Lake Wolfgang.
