As early as the year 880, a church was mentioned on this site in connection with the cathedral chapter in the city of Chur, so we can assume that at least a small church building already existed on this site at that time. The church was first documented in 1485, the nave was built around 1680, and further alterations were made to the building between 1824 and 1827. What is special about this church is that the organ, which is usually located on a gallery above the entrance, is located here on the right in the nave – very special and extremely rare. Overall, a very impressive church, with the three altars in particular worthy of a closer look. The steel bell in front of the church is an absolute rarity, as it was cast in 1917 – towards the end of the First World War, when raw materials were very, very scarce. Because the bells needed repair, they were replaced with bronze bells in 2017.
