本来は典型的なテューリンゲンの発明ですが、ザンクト・アンドレアスベルクにもシュヴィッ​​ボーゲンがあります。

シュタイン・アンドレアスベルクのバイクパークから、町の中心部までかなりの坂道が続きます。下りはこの道はごちそうです。

In the upper reaches of the Samson Mine is the Harz Roller Canary Museum, featuring an exhibition on the Harz Roller Canary – a bird species bred by miners in the Upper Harz as an additional source of income. At the National Park House in Sankt Andreasberg, visitors embark on a journey into the wilderness through an exhibition, an adventure cinema, and numerous nature-based activities. Recreational activities for all ages include the 550-meter-long summer toboggan run and the Nordic walking and mountain bike trails in a beautiful natural setting. Thanks to its wide range of winter sports, Sankt Andreasberg is also a popular holiday destination during the colder months.

The town of Sankt Andreasberg, situated at an altitude of 600 to 900 meters, is the highest mountain village in the Harz Mountains and exudes a unique charm with its colorful wooden houses, yellow bell tower, and steep mountain streets. Sankt Andreasberg is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers thanks to its 200 kilometers of hiking trails through the Harz National Park, its blooming mountain meadows in spring and summer, and its exposed location on the sunny high plateau. The Samson Mining Museum is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Harz Water Management System and offers visitors an impressive insight into the mining history of the silver ore mine during a descent to a depth of 190 meters. One of the exhibits is the internationally renowned and, uniquely, the last remaining original cable car engine in the world.

Directly from this small bridge, the idyllic Schlosskopfhangweg trail winds its way up to the Lausebuche beech tree. Definitely worth seeing!

Suddenly, a cave appears at the side of the path. Unfortunately, there's no indication of its origin or current purpose. Only later did we learn that it was a bat roost. What a pity.
