The Schneifel Trail is a challenging long-distance hiking trail in the Eifel (approx. 72 km) from Kronenburg to Birresborn. It leads over the Schneifel ridge through forests, moors and rocky landscapes. It is recommended to divide the trail into three stages. Highlights are the Schönecken castle ruins and the Birresborn ice caves. A good level of fitness is required due to some steep climbs. Waldcamping Prüm: Idyllic campsite on the Prüm river with pitches, overnight barrels, snack bar and close proximity to the city. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor activities. Prüm forest outdoor pool: 50m swimming pool, diving boards, slides, volleyball court and large lawn. Kiosk with snacks & drinks. Tennis facilities: Prüm tennis club: 3 clay courts, all-weather court, training & tournaments. Krautscheid tennis hall: 2-court hall with needle felt surface, racket rental.

The Postferiendorf in Prüm was originally built by the recreational organization of the German Federal Post Office and is now operated by Sozialwerk.Bund. It is located above the town of Prüm on the edge of the forest and comprises 39 holiday homes and 4 holiday apartments. The facilities include a community center with a restaurant, lounges, games room, mini golf, sports fields and barbecue areas. The Prüm event and conference center is part of the Eifel youth hostel and offers modern rooms for conferences and events. There are five smaller rooms (10-50 people) and a large conference hall (up to 500 people) with variable rooms, a stage and modern technology. WiFi is free, and full board is available.
