Soak up the wonderful impressions...🫶🌸🍀 The oak tree is estimated to be around 300 years old and, barring any unforeseen events, has approximately 50 more years of life ahead of it.

Lourdes Grotto: In 1944, during the war, Bernhard Brossart suffered third-degree burns while handling a British phosphorus bomb. His friend Engelbert Gerstner prevented a more serious outcome through his quick intervention. Bernhard Brossart vowed that if he regained his health, he would build a Lourdes Grotto. Sixty years later, this promise was fulfilled. The forestry administration and the responsible district forester, Werner Gimmel, were receptive to the project. In 2004, Bernhard Brossart and Engelbert Gerstner constructed the Lourdes Grotto in the "Heilbrunnenhang" forest section using natural limestone from Büchelberg. The grotto was consecrated by Pastor Stefan Braun on May 8, 2004. This place is intended to invite visitors to offer silent prayer, recharge their energy, and draw new strength for everyday life. Cultural monument in Büchelberg, in the forest northwest of the village, west of Gutenbrunnen: Monument; obelisk erected by General Wurmser during the Revolutionary War of 1793. The rubble stone base is probably of a more recent date, inscribed, among other things, 1940.

In 2014, Büchelberg gained a new religious site. In a field on Gutenbrunnenweg, siblings Christel Niederer (née Fürstaller) and Sebastian Fürstaller, originally from Taxenbach, Austria, built a small chapel in the Austrian style with the support of relatives and friends. It is intended as a reminder of their former home. The chapel is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Büchelberg church foundation provided a statue on loan, which had previously stood in the parish church. The chapel also posthumously fulfilled a wish of the late Father Stefan Braun, who passed away in 2010 and had the statue restored specifically for this purpose.

Unfortunately, the ground around it is very sealed. It lacks more greenery/plants/grass. It's a shame, otherwise it's beautiful.
