The observation tower offers impressive views over the Beeder Biotope – part of the magnificent UNESCO Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve. The Bliesgau is the only region in Saarland home to all of the butterfly species currently identified in the Saarland under the Habitats Directive (FFH) (Dark Blue, Thyme Blue, Large Copper, and Golden Fritillary).
