The small village of Donnersbachwald lies in the middle of the picturesque mountains of the Niedere Tauern. It has just 300 inhabitants and is particularly popular for holidays close to nature due to its idyll and the wonderful skiing and hiking area Riesneralm.

Very nice walk along the river Larchkarbach with the cozy Almhütte Larchkaralm as the starting point. Watch out for the stray cows, they are not as friendly as they look (we also warn you about this in advance) There are plenty of benches along the path, where you can enjoy the tranquility with the babbling river in the background.

Unfortunately, the Seestüberl has been closed for a few years. However, the leisure facility will continue to be looked after.

On a well-paved hiking trail you hike through the beautiful Donnersbachwald to the Stall Alm, which invites you to a cozy stop.

The Donnersbachwald is idyllically situated on the Donnersbach brook and impresses with its lovely landscape and the gentle rippling of the water. There are cozy resting places along the way.
