ベルナップ郡周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

素晴らしい秋のハイキングでした！青い道で登り、黄色い道で下りました。これが周回コースとして推奨される方向であることを確認できます。10月初旬の平日に訪れましたが、まったく混雑していませんでした。道はよく整備されており、標識も見つけやすいです。幸いなことに、道はほとんど乾いており、ほとんどが厚い落ち葉で覆われているだけでした。中程度の難易度という評価は妥当です。頂上の直前に、技術的に少し難しいクライミング箇所がいくつかありますが、十分に可能です。それ以外は、道はかなり歩きやすかったです（前半は標高を上げますが）。登りの適度な挑戦を楽しみ、頂上でのピクニックで景色を楽しみ、小川に沿ってしばらく続く下り道も楽しみました。

Knights Pond is the centerpiece of the Knights Pond Conservation Area. The property totals a little over 300 acres, and the pond along is over 30 acres. There is a loop trail that completely circles the pond and offers a bunch of different perspectives of various spots around the wetland ecosystem.

Mount Major is one of the most popular peaks in the Belknap Mountains, and with good reason. At the peak, visitors get an amazing and unimpeded view of Lake Winnipesaukee. There are several trails that lead to the peak, so you can find a route that fits your level.

Great views from the peak of Whiteface Mountain. The trail on the way up to the top is well maintained and well signed.

The summit of Piper Mountain is a great natural viewpoint: it is formed of large slabs of flat rock, which is great to stop, sit and enjoy the view. The trail up to the summit is a popular trail, so it is likely that you will see others enjoying the view with you.

Great views of the surrounding mountains. There is also a restaurant at the top of the summit.

Mount Shannon is one of the peaks in the Griswold Scout Reservation, offering wonderful views of the forest, bodies of water, and a peaceful environment with little traffic.

You park off of Carriage Road and have a choice of two trails — south to Piper Mountain, which is more gradual, or north to Gunstock. The map kiosk at the trailhead has good information on the nearby trails.
