This is a nice viewpoint along the green-blazed Otter Hole Trail. You might see some cascades along this trail, but it's really best-known for showcasing some interesting rock formations.

When hiking along Cooper Union Trail, you will reach Governor Mountain and its overlooks in the very south of the trail. From here you get a great view of the Wanaque Reservoir below you.

Along the eastern section of Stonetown Circular Trail (Highlands Trail), especially from Windbeam Mountain, you will get multiple nice overlooks over the nearby Wanaque Reservoir. It is the second-largest reservoir in New Jersey and exists since 1928.

Butler Reservoir is located in the north of Apshawa Preserve and has a size of approximately 40-acres. The red trail, one of numerous trails of the preserve, leads all the way around the reservoir.

This impressive viewpoint offers you an amazing overlook on the Monksville Reservoir below you. Behind the reservoir, you can see infinite nature and the green hills of New Jersey highlands.

If you are hiking Roomy Mine Trail or Mine Trail, make sure to stop here for a great overlook and a little rest.

The Roomy Mine is part of the trail of the same name. It's possible to enter the mine from April 1 to August 31, as for the rest of the year it's closed to protect the hibernating bats inside the mine.

If you're hiking Manaticut Point Trail or the Overlook Rock Trail, you will get to this viewing point with the same name as the second named trail. After climbing up the rock, you will be rewarded with a great view to the east.
