オントナゴン郡周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

The Big Carp River is beautiful, winding through the old-growth forest of Porcupine Mountain Wilderness. You can follow its course from the Lake of the Clouds overlook to its remote mouth on Lake Superior, passing lovely waterfalls, trout pools, and fantastic sweeping vistas the entire way.

The North County Trail is one of the longest trails in the country, running from North Dakota to Vermont. This section is a beautiful section that passes a couple of waterfalls.

A footbridge with viewing points leads to the waterfall.

Bond Falls is a waterfall with parking. From the many viewing platforms you have a wonderful view of the waterfalls.

The trail from Agate Falls continues north, following along the Middle Branch Ontonagon River. This peaceful and easy to navigate trail offers great views of the river and forests of the area.

The Bond Falls Day Use Area is located just down the same road that Bond Falls can be found on. The area is a family friendly picnic and beach area, with swimming, fishing, and canoeing opportunities on the Bond Falls Flowage Lake. There are public restrooms and shelters available at the site.

There is a picnic area and bench located next to the falls, so it makes for a great area to stop for lunch.

Greenstone Falls is located just a half mile up the trail from Overlooked Falls, and is slightly bigger in size. Greenstone Falls Cabin is located next to the Falls, and it can be rented out for camping.
