Michelstadt is always worth a visit. Due to the flair of the half-timbered houses, the beautiful shops and the rich culinary offerings, there is a lot on offer.

This original half-timbered house in the late Gothic style from 1484 is often seen as the ideal German town hall. The ground floor hall was originally open, but was partially reinforced in 1903. The clock, which is located on the west facade of the building, was only installed in 1892 and originally comes from the Untertor. The facade was also only shingled in 1743.
