Hike with great views of the Green Mountains, Gourette and Aubisque. Accessible and not too hard with a slight drop. Beware of the sometimes violent wind on the ridges

Lac du Lavedan sits on a beautiful grassy plateau at an altitude of 2,179 metres. It dominates a series of lakes which are on the heights of the Cirque de Gourette.

The Sanctus peak rises to 2,482 meters above sea level from the heights of Gourette. Easy to access, it offers superb views of the various lakes below.

The Louesque lakes, three in number, are located between 2,275 and 2,338 meters above sea level within a cirque dominated by the Sanctus peak.
