In 1904/05, Otto Werner transformed the approximately 30-meter-wide strip of land adjacent to the small pond, which had been owned by Messrs. Chemnitz Rose Garden. A profusion of roses as far as the eye can see. Information: The so-called Rose Garden was laid out in 1904/05 – a strictly geometrically designed garden with symmetrical paths, flowerbeds, and pavilions. The design was based on classical garden motifs, with a focus on a diverse and colorful collection of roses. It stands as an exemplary example of civic patronage in a rapidly developing industrial city.

Very beautifully laid out rose garden. It is regularly maintained and when the roses are in season you can admire lots of roses in all sorts of colors. There are also benches which are great for a rest but it is best to always have a sun hat with you as everything there is in the blazing sunshine.

Approximately 50 routes from 5 to 8+. For those who find this a bit too difficult (still), the neighboring Seidelbruch offers easier routes. Similar to the classic Sea Cliffs or the Verdon, here you first have to abseil and then climb out again - real commitment. A few cams on the belt don't hurt either.
