Rapperswil Castle Rapperswil Castle is the landmark of the picturesque rose town on Lake Zurich. The castle, built at the beginning of the 13th century and later remodeled several times, can be seen from afar. It sits majestically above the town on the Lindenhof, a ridge that runs through Rapperswil. The renovated castle offers an atmospheric tour and takes visitors on a fascinating journey through its history. A highlight for children is sure to be the northern slope of the castle hill, where fallow deer have lived since 1871, a reminder of the legend of the town's founding. Just below the deer park, various play elements, such as a climbing wall and a speaking tube, invite children to play and let off steam. The exhibition inside the castle is open to visitors. In addition, the castle tower offers breathtaking views of the town and the lake. Both the beach promenade and the old town are beautiful walks! I can recommend both.

Fantastic view over the lake. You can make out the Ufnau island in the middle of the water. On the opposite bank, the mountains rise spectacularly over the landscape.

Take the Seeuferweg from Wädenswil for a delightful lakeside hike that will bring you closer to the serene waters of Lake Zurich. This well-maintained wooden pier follows the shore for a short distance, offering uninterrupted views of the sparkling lake, dotted with charming sailboats and framed by rolling hills.
