The barn district in the Schlüsselburg district of Petershagen still comprises 26 barns that are built together in a very small space. Scheunenviertel are special gems of rural building culture. Due to fear of devastating fires, most of the barns were built outside villages between 1700 and 1800 and offered space for stored goods and storage.
