The cycle path on the Weser is probably one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Germany. In particular, the piece between Hannoversch Münden and Rinteln is unparalleled. In summer, the cycle path is to be enjoyed with respect, as there are sometimes no places to stop and shade is very rare. Much joy! We had it!

A tour along the Weser reflects the diverse landscape of Lower Saxony. First it flows through the mountainous south, in places forcing itself between the towering rocks. There on the Oberweser, as the section up to Minden is called, the tourist importance of the river predominates today. Barges are rare. In summer, passenger ships shuttle between the tranquil towns, canoeists and rowers glide down the Weser - supported by the current. Small ferries serve to supplement the few bridges in this section. Cyclists can also use them to move from bank to bank on the popular Weser cycle path.
