The Devil's Kitchen in the Thal Nature Park in the Solothurn Jura is a fascinating natural spectacle. Erosion and water flowing over thousands of years have created deep gorges in the limestone. This place is particularly popular with hikers and nature lovers. Marvel at the impressive rock formations and enjoy the untouched beauty of nature.

The Obere Wechten mountain inn is located at an altitude of 1,020 meters on the southern Jura slope of the Passwang ridge in the Thal Nature Park and offers a breathtaking view of the Alpine chain. The cozy inn focuses on regional products and impresses with homemade giant meringues. With 12 rooms and 63 beds, it is ideal for family celebrations, weddings or seminars. A highlight of the area is the Felswegli, which is particularly beautiful in autumn and leads to the Wasserfallen cable car.

The south flank is very beautiful both up and down.

Certainly worth a detour. There is a beautiful view of the valley in several places. However, the view of the central plateau remains mostly hidden through the forest. Recommendation: Ascent from Laupersdorf and descent to Niederbipp, as the surface on the north side is much worse.
