パリ近郊で最も壮大な桜の伝統が楽しめるのが、ソー公園です。主なポイントを以下にまとめました。 2つの色：公園には、白い桜の北の森（Bosquet Nord）と鮮やかなピンクの花の南の森（Bosquet Sud）という、2つの専門的な桜の森があります。 花見祭り：毎年4月（通常は月の半ば）には、何千人もの人々が花見に集まります。これは日本の桜祭りであり、自然の美しさと儚さを祝うために木の下でピクニックをします。 文化センター：日本コミュニティが主催する太鼓の演奏、伝統舞踊、ワークショップがしばしば開催されます。 混雑：近年、来場者が非常に増加しているため、北の森の木の下の芝生エリアへのアクセスは現在厳しく規制されており、4月には予約が必要な場合が多くあります。

Harnessing the power of moving water to drive a mill wheel is an ancient invention, documented as early as pre-Christian times. Thanks to such a design, a watercourse – natural or artificial – could easily replace human or animal muscle power, for example, to grind grain into corn. There are essentially two drive variants for watermills: Either the water simply hits the blades of the water wheel from below to set it in motion; or the water is guided above the wheel and falls onto the blades. This design utilizes natural gravity for greater efficiency.

The Sceaux estate is an idyllic place for a stroll. From the Grand Canal you can see the castle and the beautiful gardens of the park. Since 2023, it is possible to cross the Grand Canal on the surface of the water thanks to the Gué.
