Beautiful area with excellent trails for mountain biking.

Our group ate here every evening. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff was very friendly. Even though we were seated longer, they were still friendly. 🥰 On the last evening, we were given another round of apricots, even though we were very loud. A typical Palatinate dish 🙈

The New Year's Eve Chapel is located away from Welzelach on a small rocky outcrop above the Isel Gorge. It was built in 1642 and served as a place of pilgrimage for the rural population to pray for their livestock.

The best strudel I've ever eaten in the area, six out of five stars! The refuge is easily accessible and very nice, reasonable prices, friendly staff. The Schlipkrapfen are also very good!
