Kobersdorf Castle was built around 1528 from a medieval castle. In 1683 the complex was taken by the Turks and partially destroyed. After years of decay, the castle was bought and renovated by an architect in 1963. Today it is owned by her daughter and can only be viewed during events. The Landsee castle ruins are one of the largest castle ruins in Central Europe. The castle was first mentioned in 1158 and was destroyed by fire around 1790. Due to the lack of relevant literature, it is not possible to determine exactly when the castle was built. The building probably dates from the Middle Ages, as there are still remains of walls 150 cm thick. In the 17th century it was rebuilt on a hook-shaped floor plan. In the 18th century the building was used as an inn. From this time it became known as Rohonczy Castle. The Niczky family from Nebersdorf later acquired the castle and had it expanded like a fort. It was restored again in 1880 in the historicist style. In the 20th century, the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture acquired the castle and briefly housed an agricultural school for girls there. The Eisenstadt diocese acquired the building at the end of the 1980s. The castle now houses St. Stephan's House, an education and youth center.

Beautiful castle complex, which unfortunately can only be visited for an entrance fee. A small kiosk at the entrance offers refreshments.
