19世紀後半には、Lajos BellaはすでにSopron周辺のすべての高台にある集落を調査していました。彼はBurgstallbergで136の大きな墳丘墓と60の小さな墳丘墓を発見しました。1970年頃、Gyula Szádeczky-Kardosは、新たな測量および地図作成作業中に、それらのうち合計159基のみを発見しました。1971年から1978年にかけて、Erzsébet Patekの指揮の下で体系的な発掘調査が行われました。

The observation tower, built in 2005, stands at the highest point of the Sopron Mountains in Hungary (557 m). The observation point is worth a visit from Brennbergbánya. Only a few hiking trails cross this part of the park forest. The reason for this is that during the Iron Curtain era, it was only possible to enter this region with a special permit, or nature reserves stretch across the former border zone.
