Well-preserved military fort but not entirely accessible

A fort that stands in a unique environment, from here you can enjoy a crazy view, one of the best in the whole Val Roia.

Path made with dogs. There are no particular difficulties, except for two stony and somewhat exposed sections. Beware of Forte Giaura: ibex live inside and it is easy to see them suddenly jump out of the moat. I recommend keeping dogs tied up there.

Highest peak in the Vermenagna Valley! There are no water points along the path from the Baita le Marmotte onwards; the path is very open, panoramic and full of history: in fact, you pass through a bunker, the Laghetto dell'Abisso, Forte Pernante and Forte Giaura at the foot of the Rocca. The cross is located on the forerunner, while if you want the real top you have to make a small horizontal exposed stretch of about ten meters.
