😎 In 2023 I rode along here with my brother on my first longer EBIKE TOUR from ESW to ESA. Then again the next day on the way back. What a fantastic picture. What a symphonic frog concert from the other bank of the Werra. What a wonderful cycle path between Hesse and Thuringia. The next time will be in 2024 on an e-bike tour with my partner from Eschwege-Niederhone through the beautiful Ringgau to Creuzburg and back to Eschwege. We enjoyed it. And I'm already looking forward to the next time. Sometime this year. 👋

You cycle along the cliffs. The rocks, the trees and the blue sky offer a wonderful view.

The Wanfrieder Schlagd (also Wanfrieder Hafen and Historischer Hafen Wanfried) is located on the Werra in the northern Hessian town of Wanfried in the Werra-Meißner district. The listed complex consists of the former stacking area of the Wanfried harbor with a quay wall, iron rings for mooring ships, and a preserved remnant of the city wall.

The Küllstedt tunnel is 1530 meters long, and a few meters before you enter the draft lets you feel where the path leads: into cold darkness. But there is an automatic emergency light that comes on when you approach it, but it was still freezing cold

A spare light and a warm jacket can be helpful

Very interesting place, and it's really cold in the tunnel, especially when cyclists come towards you without lights.
